Common Questions we get
-
Teletherapy – Do I need to be in my state of residence?
For therapy sessions, including those conducted via telehealth, it is a strict requirement that you and any other participants must be physically located within the state boundaries where your counselor is licensed to practice. This regulatory measure ensures that the counseling services provided are in compliance with state-specific licensing laws. In the event that you need to travel out of town for business, personal reasons, or any other circumstances, you can still continue with your telehealth sessions without interruption, provided that you do not cross the state line. It's important to plan accordingly to ensure that your therapy can proceed as scheduled.

Prior to seeing you in our office…
If you have insurance, please send us a copy of your insurance card (front and back) BEFORE your appointment. Having completed paperwork is also helpful for us, but we understand that may be more difficult to get to us on short notice. In that case, we would need to be sure to get a little more information from you so we are able to properly get your estimation of insurance benefits. If we don't have this, we can't give you an estimate of your out-of-pocket for your proposed treatment at your appointment.
